Passionate Pursuer of Jesus
I have been thinking a lot lately about what it looks like (lived out) to be a passionate pursuer of Jesus Christ. I know that there are many characteristics, values, etc. that are a part of loving Jesus with your life. For me, the Holy Spirit keeps bringing to mind caring for poor. What is God teaching you about following him? What comes to mind when you think of what a passionate follower of Christ looks like?

My latest lesson (there are many) is to ABIDE. That's all Jesus did in his life here on earth and tried to teach us to do. Abide in Him and he will abide in us. . . Wow, that means I don't have to TRY to do things on my own, or MY way, or worry about everything that goes on in my Life? What would I do with all my time? Maybe, I'd get to know Him a lot better. "I am the Vine and you are the branches". We don't have ANY purpose is life except to Abide. The life of the vine should flow through us in order to bear fruit. . . He prunes us, He binds us (to the trellis, we don't even have to hold on) WE have Nothing to do with it. All we do is 'like filthy rags' unless He is working through us.
Okay, I'll stop now. . . hope that didn't sound like rambling. .
