Going Greener, Part 1: Paper or Plastic?

Neither. Yup, we now (as of November) own 5 cloth shopping bags that I can proudly tote to and from my bi-weekly Walmart runs. Those shopping bags would be really great if they could remind me to bring them in with me! If you want to purchase cloth bags and help save the world, Walmart sells them for $1 each and they are made mostly of recycled materials.

Ava's 5 months old

Yesterday Ava turned 5 months old and to celebrate we (minus Jesse)all got our first colds. Ava is doing great though. She is trying so hard to sit on her own and has started to play with toys a lot. She's still waking up a bunch at night...not so much for food as for her pacifier and diaper changes. JG has really started enjoying her and often says, "Mommy, can I play with Ava?", "Where's Ava?", and "It's okay Ava, I'm here." However, it's not all fun and games... just the other night, they were sitting in his rocking chair reading a book and I hear JG yell. I run to see what's the matter, and he says "She touched me." Yep, it's starting already!

She has also grown SO much. At her 4 month well visit, these were her stats:
weight: 16lbs, 92%
height: 26in., 95%
hat size: 17in., 93%
