Wonderful Wednesday

Yesterday, we had a fun-filled day OUT of the house. The kids and I went for not one but two outings! I'm really getting the hang of dragging 2 little ones around with me... well, not really. Ava was still in her pajamas, I hadn't showered yet, and I think I forgot to comb JG's hair. Oh well. We made it. (Thanks Maren for accepting us as we are).

In the morning we went to JG's friend Markus' house to play. JG and Markus are in the same class at church so they get to see each other on a regular basis. They seem to play pretty well together. At dinner Tuesday night, I told JG that he was going to play with Markus in the morning...after he'd gone nite-nite. He smiled, stopped eating mid-bite, and said "Go nite-nite now." Maren, his mom, and I enjoyed watching the boys play chase, fight over toys, and learn a little about sharing.

Then after naps, we headed to Chucky Cheese to celebrate our friend Matthew's 4th birthday. JG had a blast playing all the games. He even sat down at the table with the other kids and ate 2 whole pieces of pizza and some cake. When Chucky Cheese came by and asked the kids to come up front and dance with him, JG went running back to the stage with him. Seeing him at the party reminded me how much he is growing up. He's no longer my little baby!
