This year's happenings

Yep, I'm going to sum up the last couple of months in a few sentences and some pics.

In January, Jesse and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary! This year is letter "G" for our dinner out, so we went to Geisha Hibachi and Sushi. Yummy meal, minus the sushi I tried. I just can't develop a taste for it :) We also spent every weekend in January getting to know UTD students and inviting them to join our home group. God has really blessed those times and now our group has grown to 26 people. For Valentines weekend, we went on a marriage retreat with our class at church. It was a great time away and couldn't have come at a better time. A couple of weeks ago, I fractured a bone in my leg (right above the ankle) and have been hobbling around with a boot since then. Jesse wanted me to rest and found a wheelchair to push me in on our retreat! I'm just thankful the doctor didn't give me crutches. I don't know how I'd manage the kids and crutches at the same time.

The kids have had a fun couple of months as well. They enjoyed the HUGE snow storm, spending a weekend with Mimi, and all sorts of activities from making homemade cinnamon rolls to going bowling for the first time. Adrian's growing like a weed and is getting into everything. His favorite things right now are eating crumbs off the kitchen floor and chewing on a plastic corn-on-the-cob. He is also into imitating everyone and even trying to dance!! Today, we celebrated Thursday with their first trip to Braum's. I let them pick their own flavors and you've never seen 2 more excited kids. I don't know what was bigger, the ice cream cones or Ava's eyes when she saw hers.
