Childproof?

JG has recently become able to open all the doors in our house. I use to be able to shut Ava in her room while I took a shower (to keep JG away) or keep JG out of the bathrooms with a simple close of the door. Not anymore. So, I decided to simplify my life and buy door knob covers. I was really excited when I put one on the pantry door this morning. I could now dream of days when I wouldn't have to walk into the kitchen and find whole containers of Oatmeal spilled on the floor or come running at the crinkle of a candy wrapper. Within 10 seconds of installing the cover, JG was in the pantry again. So much for childproof!

What a smart child. I know that is coming soon for us as well. Our recent childproofing delima in Norway was the stove knobs. I did not notice that she turned on of the burners on full blast while our can opener was on it. We have a severly melted can opener now. Mom and dad brought us oven knob covers when they came to visit because we could not find them here.

Wow- that's a problem. We really worry about Silas getting out the garage door and wandering off to the park.

Don't you just love that. That is exactly why I did not use those doorknob covers. They are smarter than you can imagine!

Well pooh. I just went and bought those exact covers today. Addie hasn't even seen them yet, but I bet she'll figure them out too! Back to the drawing board!

I should also add, that Silas figured out that he can crawl underneath the hardware mounted gate at the top of the stairs going to the great room. Pointless.
